If North Korea was Israel...What would the world and the UN have done? Lets compare two recent incidents: 1. Israel
boards a vessel trying break through a blockade of the Gaza Strip and is instantly excoriated by the world when nine so-called peace activists are killed.
2. North Korea intentionally, and without provocation, sinks a South Korean Naval
vessel killing all 46 on board and the silence is deafening.
Results: Event #2 China and Russia deny that it even happened The Chinese and Russians dont agree with America thatNorth Korea sank the South Korean corvette Cheonan on 26 March 2010, and why should they just because Hillary Clinton expects them to? Theyve seen the evidence. All there is against North Korea is a piece of metal with a single character on it that is said to be usually (not always, but usually) used in North Korea . Even some South Korean experts don agree with this. No-one appears to have said is even part of a torpedo. Its not enough to convince an American jury, criminal or civil, so how can it go to the United Nations? Why are the UK and Europe going along with this? Truth has now become politics and evidence doesnt matter
Seoul, which has accused North Korea of torpedoing the corvette Cheonan on March 26, killing 46 sailors, brought the dispute to theSecurity Council this month, asking the 15-nation body to take action to deter “further provocation.” North Korea, which denies responsibility and accuses the South of fabricating the attack, asked Mexicos Claude Heller, the Security Councils rotating president, for a separate briefing session and the request was granted, a spokesman for the Mexican U.N. mission said. Washington – North Korea is facing new pressures over its suspected sinking of a South Korean naval vessel, with the United Nations body that oversees the multinational force inSouth Korea saying Saturday it will investigate whether the Norths actions violated the five-decade-old Korean War armistice. The conclusion of the investigation will be submitted to UN headquarters, the multinational United Nations Command ( Korea ) says – with an affirmative finding likely to boost calls for some kind of UN action condemning North Korea . “If the Security Council release any documents against us condemning or questioning us in any document then myself as diplomat I can do nothing, but the follow-up measures will be carried out by our military forces,” North Korea s U.N. Ambassador Sin Son-ho told a rare news conference.
Event #1 MSNBC - Bloody Israeli raid on flotilla sparks crisis Security Council meets after raid in international waters kills 9 activists. Posted May 31, 2010 on MSNBC Israeli commandos rappelled down to an aid flotilla sailing to thwart a Gaza blockade on Monday, clashing with pro-Palestinian activists on the lead ship in a botched raid that left at least nine passengers dead. Bloodied passengers sprawled on the deck and troops dived into the sea to save themselves amid hand-to-hand fighting that injured dozens of activists and six soldiers. Hundreds of activists were towed from the international waters to Israeli detention centers and hospitals. JOHANNESBURG – Israel has been widely condemned for its deadly attack on a six-ship flotilla carrying aid to the people of Gaza yesterday. The South African government, the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu), the Esteemed Elders Group, the African Union and the Coalition for a Free Palestine were united in their criticism of Israel . Israel Condemned after flotilla attack Financial Times article filed on May 31, 2010 Israel faced furious international condemnation on Monday after naval commandos attacked a convoy of ships carrying aid to the Gaza Strip, killing at least nine pro-Palestinian activists and wounding many more. Israel Condemned over ship action Video submitted May 31, 2010 by Reuters VIDEO DESCRIPTION May 31 - Israels storming of a Gaza-bound aid flotilla draws criticism from friends and foes, and strains ties with regional ally Turkey , which had backed the convoy. Al Jazeera says on June 8, 2010 - 20 nations condemn Israel Nearly two dozen nations have condemned Israel s deadly raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla at the conclusion of a regional summit in Istanbul . Abdullah Gul, the Turkish president, released a statement agreed to by 21 of the 22 participants in the conference. Bloody Israeli raid on flotilla sparks crisis International condemnation was swift and harsh as Israel scrambled to explain how what was meant to be a simple takeover of a civilian vessel went so badly awry.. Comparison: The North Korean event took place on March 26, 2010, 46 dead, still not
condemned for its actions, and the UN is just now investigating. It is not an issue of if, it is an issue of response. Cost: Nothing! Cost: Unimaginable! Cost: Priceless. Anyone see anything taking place here? - A peace loving Democracy treated like a dictatorial, violent, evil regime - A vile, evil, and dictatorial regime treated like Nobel Peace Prize winners Which is which? |
