Syria - Freedom Flotilla to Set off for Gaza in the Coming Weeks
Chairman of the European Campaign to Lift the Siege on Gaza Arafat Madi said Freedom Flotilla 2 will set off for Gaza during the coming weeks on a larger scale with more European
participation.
''The mission of the flotilla won't be easy. It will be a fierce battle to break the 4-year-old siege imposed on Gaza,'' Madi told al-Jazeera Satellite Channel on Saturday.
Madi said the campaign
does not fear an international investigation into the Israeli aggression on the flotilla, given that peace activists were carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza.
He added the aggression on the ships in the international
waters is a violation of international laws. Madi said that world wide condemnation of the aggression and the support to the flotilla signal that the Israeli media campaign against the flotilla and the Palestinian issue has
receded.
