Took the wrong road dealing with Syria

Unilateral generosity doesn’t work with Damascus . In the Lexicon of the Middle East, Ehud Barak will be recognized as the epitome of Israel regional failures and
missed opportunities, in the war on terrorism, by pursuing his foolish “Peace” track with Syria, a country whose theory of terrorism warfare plays in the hands of
Hezbollah, Hamas, Fatah el Islam and every possible arsonist organization that put fire in the Levant, starting in Iraq with Al-Qaida, to Jordan, Israel and especially Lebanon, Syria’s favorite playground.
Syria , using Lebanon ’s platform has been conducting bloody proxy warfare against Israel for almost 30 years, Damascus justify it for the “occupation” of the Golan. By
doing that it has different intentions & objectives: it’s the establishment of Greater Syria, for which many Lebanese Presidents, Government officials and
Parliamentarians have been assassinated for the purpose of objecting it. Its objective is to create a regional balance of fear through regional terrorism intimidation, and
the West, instead of punishing Syria, or opting for a regime change ended up in releasing Syria off the hook in Rafic Hariri assassination, (in a foolish exchange of deceptive thought that Syria intend to make “Peace” with Israel.
The region instead of moving foreword against terrorism, witnessed many Israel Government, in succession going backward buying Syria ’s bully of Peace, by
ensuring freedom of action and the pursuit of terrorism against Lebanon , Israel and the region as whole.
This is hard to believe Israel naïveté as the people of the region don't have to be
clever to get it right and least but not last, US diplomacy is rewarding Damascus with a new Ambassador for the purpose.
Actions like Barak withdrawal unilaterally from Southern Lebanon in 2000, with
William Jefferson Clinton blessing to appease Syria precipitated Israel regional retreat and defeat from the balance of force in the region. His mistakes (which he
claims a success) over the years allowed an enemy organization Hezbollah to fill Southern Lebanon with 40,000 advanced missiles reaching the heart of Israel ,
blackmail the whole region, from Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon and Israel destabilization and finally take over officially over the Lebanese Government. An isolated extremist
organization taking over the Lebanese State , thanks to the tip of the spear of Israel ’s left who allowed such a thing to happens, crying, kissing hands and begging for Peace at any cost.
Enough Failure!
Appeasement with Damascus doesn’t work, it only intensify and encourage terrorism to persist. Turkish language does as Lieberman advanced diplomatic language does too.
A quick regional war by changing the arsonist surrounding regimes is better than submitting to another 30 years of Syrian-Iranian terrorism blackmail.
The “expert on security” Minister of Defense Barak should have known that instead of keeping that ugly reality around and have Israel and the region live it through. You
don’t appease terrorism by giving it incentives; you break it up before it will break you up. But he routinely see the solution from a different angle with his leftist
strategists in Israel and America, as it doesn’t matter if “Peace” with Syria along his team of experts backtrack the region into Islamic chaos. Damascus , in a peace
gesture recommends in return Hezbollah, Hamas as a follow-up peace mechanism with new long range Iranian missiles. The response of US diplomacy experts to press Syria on Peace is to send Ambassador Ford to Damascus .
The first Damascus sessions with US envoys Feltman and Hoff worked out very well, Damascus is helping the US on terrorism by putting fire to the Levant and
authorizing Hezbollah to move heavy missiles deep into Lebanon ’s landscape. By dispatching the new ambassador to Syria , Washington intends to preserve Syria on
“its “side with no knowledge of what Damascus is doing. Everybody else objecting has the right to remain silent, Obama diplomacy is in the work..
When is this drama supposed to unfold and end? What the US diplomacy is doing
today with Syria is harming national security. It is legitimately enforcing the victory of Hezbollah , Iran and Syria over America ’s strategy, America ’s presence and
America ’s regional allies in the Levant . This policy of restrain, appeasement and surrender with Damascus & Hezbollah has to end. This unacceptable behavior
enforced Iran ’s dangerous victory over the rest of the Middle East, as Damascus is part of it’s axis.
The “hot tempered” Lieberman has it right, as the cool tempered French has nothing
to advice for the region. Every year the streets of Paris are set on fires they cannot extinguish, as in contradiction their allies in Beirut were swept the floor by Hezbollah
and sold to the lowest political bidder of the Kouchner French diplomacy. Thank you Doha !
The West before criticizing Avigdor Lieberman should probably understand the
implications of the Islamic victory. It apparently doesn’t.
A brave man stood up in Israel and talked bravely. The left and the center found it
“outrageous”, in their mind it certainly might be, but in the reality of the show, it won’t be more outrageous than their disastrous failure of 2000 in Southern Lebanon,
the Kadima military failure in the summer of 2006 and the other “acclaimed victory” of Gaza, that the Israel Foreign Ministry is still cleaning up Barak miscalculated mess
on several undigested levels, from Turkey disengagement with Israel to the Goldstone reports and others. Israel Defense security expert, Mr. Barak could have
fought Gaza differently, more efficiently with less worldwide criticism, but as usual, with political elections, bombarding friends and foes is the solution these days in Israel .
The final oddity hasn’t arrived yet for the Middle East . Syria , Hezbollah, Hamas are not the problem, the Defense decision makers experts in Israel are. Hezbollah
could be completely defeated in one week timeframe within a well coordinated operation, and Syria ’s bellicose reality could be changed, as Foreign Minister
Lieberman indicated. This reality could be changed when they intend to change it.
The unveiled answers to victory apparently remain in what Israel intend to do, by
pampering Hezbollah to grow through French diplomacy, allowing Syria to double play everybody or spearhead the solution against terrorism. They better get out of
the mindset the political left impacted Israel into decades of retreats & failures.
In Lebanon , many believe Israel needs more Liebermans in its Defense
Establishment than its Foreign Ministry. The Middle East has no more room for failures.
