Turkish President Underlines Iran's Decisive Role in Afghanistan FNA
TEHRAN - Turkish President Abdullah Gul in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki in Ankara stressed Tehran 's important role in settling problems in Afghanistan .
 "We and the whole world are aware of Iran 's role to
help resolve Afghanistan 's issue," Gul said during the meeting, highlighting the necessity for Iran-Turkey's consultations on Afghanistan 's issue.
Elsewhere, he referred to Tehran-Ankara's
cooperation, and said these cooperation should be comprehensive and in line with the interests of two sides.
Gul also called the agreements made in Iran-Turkey economic commission meeting "important".
He also said that his country is willing to mature cooperation with Iran on banking and increasing joint investments in both public and private sectors.
Mottaki, on his part, called for implementing the bilateral agreements.
Mottaki also met Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz where the two sides expressed satisfaction
on the process of bilateral cooperation and reviewed areas of cooperation on establishing power plant, extracting gas from Iran 's South Pars field, building pipelines and exporting gas to Turkey and European countries.
" Ankara wants comprehensive cooperation with Iran particularly on energy section," Yildiz said.
He also added that his country is willing to receive more gas from Iran .
