Ahmadinejad: US, Israel plans failed in ME region Dakar - IRNA
The plans of the US and Israel for the Middle East region have failed, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran said in a meeting with his Algerian counterpart, Abdel Aziz Bouteflika, in
Dakar on Thursday.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 11th Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in Senegal.
The Iranian president left this African country for Iran Friday morning to take
part in parliamentary election which started a few hours ago throughout the country.
The OIC Summit is being held in the capital city of this African state on March 13-14.
The only way for the regional states to
get rid of Israeli occupation is to resist expansionism and occupation, President Ahmadinejad told his Algerian counterpart.
He also invited President Bouteflika to pay an official visit to Iran.
President
Ahmadinejad stressed that giving any concession to enemies would end in further pressures and sufferings for regional states and would encourage their enemies.
He referred to the growing resistance of regional states
against occupation and hegemony in the Middle East as well as the changing situation in the region and said those who did not understand those changes would be seriously damaged.
The Iranian president said that the
devaluation of US dollar on international markets was a sign of the collapse of US power as was the case for British Colonialism.
